Race Day started at 10:30am with a 10 minute start time and an 8 minute swim. The swim started at 9:30am.
This was the second week in a row that the swimming was extended to accommodate the 2018 season swim.
A swim can be started anywhere from 5 am to 6 am, Monday through Saturday. The swims are generally very fast, and the course is wide.
Cancellations of these races will not change the start time and time difference between races. If the race is canceled at the last minute the swim will still start at the original start time.

The course runs along two river banks, as is traditional for the Dixie Derby course at Orenco. The course features a paved, dirt track and is 2.35 miles long.
The path along the bank is parallel to the bank, and the line of the race begins just south of바카라 the bank and winds in to the next bank and ends just east of it. When approaching the waterline, stay on the course and stay on the course to avoid hitting the bank at the bottom.
The course will be marked with yellow posts, and a small flag will have “DUCK” emblazoned on top of the course to make sure those who start along the bank don’t stop before the flag is up. The flag can be found at all times along the course.
A total of 42 people will swim down the course for approximately three-four mile swim starts along this line.
The Dixie Derby swim is traditionally a family event, with a swimming portion starting for as many as eight kids at a time. There will always be a safety fence surrounding the swim area, but it is always possible to swim the course.
Horse racing events are sometimes held during the swim.
